This trip has been a gift but yesterday was sacred;
a day with a thousand breathtaking images & few adequate words.
I explored the earthy beauty of Yellowstone under blue skies &
in the golden light of an impossibly warm fall day,
in almost eerie solitude, just a few fisherman & the rare tourist.
It took my breath away to have such day &
made me want to stay in each awesome moment forever.
Where I felt small, blessed, grateful & so very much alive.
I am a wanderer at heart,
although I have finally learned the priceless gem
that you don’t have to leave home to discover, wander and adventure –
you just have to be present, open, and alive.
But this trip with the open road,
no plan and the freedom to chase the moment,
to follow the beauty and a whim…
truly 'not all who wander are lost'
and I am fortunate indeed.
